Cookie Policy

Last updated: 30 June 2026

This Cookie Policy explains how rategale ("we", "us") uses cookies and similar technologies (such as local storage and device identifiers) on our websites and apps (the "Platform"). It should be read together with our [Privacy Policy](/legal/privacy).

1. What cookies are

Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. Similar technologies — local storage, session storage and software development kit (SDK) identifiers in our mobile apps — work in comparable ways. We refer to all of these as "cookies" in this policy.

2. How we use cookies

We use cookies only for the following purposes:

2.1 Strictly necessary (always on)

These are required for the Platform to work and cannot be switched off:

  • Authentication and sessions — to keep you signed in and switch between linked

accounts or your business context.

  • Security — to protect against fraud, bots and abuse, and to support features

like trusted devices and suspicious-login detection.

  • Core functionality — to remember essential choices needed to deliver a page or

feature, and to balance and route traffic.

2.2 Preferences (functional)

To remember your settings, such as language, theme (light/dark) and locale-based display preferences, so you don't have to set them every time.

2.3 Analytics (optional, with consent where required)

To understand how the Platform is used in aggregate so we can improve it. You can control this through the analytics setting in your account and, where required, the cookie banner.

3. What we do not do

  • We do not use third-party advertising cookies or cross-site tracking pixels.
  • We do not sell your data or share it with ad networks for cross-site profiling.

Advertising on rategale is targeted server-side from your account attributes, not through tracking cookies. You control ad personalization in your account settings and in our [Privacy Policy](/legal/privacy).

4. Your choices

  • Cookie controls: where required by law, we show a consent banner so you can

accept or reject non-essential cookies, and change your choice at any time.

  • Account settings: you can adjust analytics and personalization preferences in

your account.

  • Browser/device controls: you can block or delete cookies in your browser, and

reset or limit advertising identifiers on your mobile device. Blocking strictly necessary cookies may break parts of the Platform.

5. Changes

We may update this policy as our use of cookies changes. We will update the "Last updated" date above.
